This page sets out the seven rows of the annex to the Ministry of Education's 2023–2024 list for English-taught undergraduate clinical medicine that are printed under the Jiangsu Province header of the national list of higher education institutions. It covers only those rows, and it describes the documents without ranking the schools. For the full set, see this register's section page.

The notice and the annex are in Chinese. The English below is this site's translation of that Chinese text. The annex names universities by their Chinese names. The English names are the ones this register uses.

The seven rows

The table gives each row as the annex prints it, with the place and administering body from the Ministry's national list of 17 June 2026. The administering body is translated, with the Chinese given in brackets. The register page links use the paths printed in each row.

The annex has three printed columns: the serial number, the school and the 2023–2024 enrolment plan. It has no column for fees or entry requirements. Adding up the seven plans in the table gives 500. This is this site's arithmetic, not a figure printed in the annex. The order of the rows in the annex and the size of each plan are not a ranking of the schools.

Where the schools appear in the national list

The Ministry's national list gives each school a row with a school code, an administering body, a place and a level. For the seven schools in this table, the level is 本科 (undergraduate) in every row. The remark column is empty for all seven. The province header under which a school is printed is Jiangsu Province (江苏省). Each place in the table is the place recorded in that school's row.

The national list records no teaching language and says nothing about international students. Being printed in the national list does not show that a school enrols international students.

Double First-Class entries

The second-round Double First-Class annex, attached to the notice numbered 教研函〔2022〕1号 (page header generation date 11 February 2022), has entries for three of the seven schools. The entries name disciplines. They do not refer to the English-taught clinical medicine programme in the 2023–2024 annex.

  • Southeast University: Mechanical Engineering (机械工程); Materials Science and Engineering (材料科学与工程); Electronic Science and Technology (电子科学与技术); Information and Communication Engineering (信息与通信工程); Control Science and Engineering (控制科学与工程); Computer Science and Technology (计算机科学与技术); Architecture (建筑学); Civil Engineering (土木工程); Transportation Engineering (交通运输工程); Biomedical Engineering (生物医学工程); Landscape Architecture (风景园林学); Theory of Arts (艺术学理论).
  • Soochow University: Materials Science and Engineering (材料科学与工程).

The other four schools have no entry under their Chinese names in that annex: Jiangsu University, Yangzhou University, Nantong University and Xuzhou Medical University.

Which list, which year, and what to confirm

The annex is the Ministry of Education General Office's notice 教外厅函〔2023〕10号, dated 15 May 2023 and published on the Ministry's site on 30 May 2023. It is the list for the 2023–2024 academic year. Paragraph 1 of the notice gives 44 universities and a total of 3048 places for that year. The Ministry's policy index lists the annual list notices by the date each was put on the site. The newest line in that index is dated 2023-05-30, and the index listed no later edition when this site read it on 11 October 2026. Readers should confirm the current year's status of any school with the university and with the Ministry.

Which Jiangsu schools are printed in the 2023–2024 annex?

The annex prints seven rows under the Jiangsu Province header of the national list: Nanjing Medical University (9), Jiangsu University (10), Southeast University (29), Yangzhou University (30), Nantong University (31), Soochow University (32) and Xuzhou Medical University (36). The numbers in brackets are the annex row numbers. The plans for 2023–2024 are 100, 100, 60, 60, 60, 60 and 60.

Does the annex show fees or entry requirements?

The annex has three printed columns: the serial number, the school and the 2023–2024 enrolment plan. It has no column for fees or entry requirements.

Does a Double First-Class entry show that a school is on the MBBS list?

A Double First-Class entry names disciplines in the second-round annex to 教研函〔2022〕1号. It is a separate list from the 2023–2024 annex, and it does not concern the English-taught clinical medicine programme.
